Chapter 2
Utopia, the Motherland, the cradle of all creation and the home of every soul. A place that existed before the dawn of time and space. The Power, the Creator of the world, shaped everything according to his will and gave life and meaning to his realm. He created people who filled his empty and dead cosmos with color and fragrance of life. He was pleased with his work, but not with the Realm of All Things and the Supreme Power of the world that had nothing but him. He sat on his throne in Utopia, a city whose spires touched the heavens and were veiled by the clouds. A city that nestled in the heart of a green forest and was surrounded by towering mountains that formed a strong wall to protect this beauty of creation. It seemed that nature had bestowed its warm embrace to his people. People who had no clue of what lay beyond their world and did not need to, because there was nothing but this nature out there and they were alone. A loneliness that tormented their god more than themselves. He knew that one day Utopia would fall and the secret of these walls would be unveiled. A day that he had foretold and no one but the Absolute Power knew how it would come to pass.
How it started
“One time, my father said, “Write your sad times in sand and write your good times in stones.” This was like an obligation for me in my faith, which made me think that I will choose what I see and what I do. But in the end, he was the writer. One time when I told him about this, he said, “Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus. You are on your own. You are not helpless. You will find your way.” These words were like a beautiful whisper in my mind that made me feel like I was special. No matter how tall the mountain is it cannot block the sun. I said that when I was lying on my windows, looking at the outside of the walls. They said there is nothing and no one there, and we were the only ones who could go there but not until our last exams. If there is nothing there, why did father want us to go, not anybody else, or why was he not letting others go there? It was just a test of our faith. A noise sneaked into my ears and shouted at me, saying, “Hey, you idiot! Come on, we are going to be late. Why did they even choose you? You can't even do simple work. You have no discipline.” Yeah, it was her, the only girl we had in our squad. She was the only female in the special groups. I don't know why, but I think she is only here to make a difference. He never told me why he chose her and why she is the only girl in the group. What was special about her? The only thing that comes to my mind is she has a good throwing arm for shooting and kicking me. This girl was different. I know that from the start. I think…I like her.”
As I emerged from my room, I saw..... , to be continued
